silver hawks and white elephants....
A government loan agent looked at my old house in Soldier and I had another meeting with the real estate agent today. That white elephant is another step closer to being sold.
Got into a couple of overly involved processes today, getting the modem to work in Virtual PC on mom's iMac and changing the wheel studs around on the '57 Studebaker. What seemed like a fun little project to put '50s Cadillac Sabre wheels on a Silver Hawk has been a real nightmare. At least the "heavy lifting" on that project is done and all I have to do is put the hubs back on the car. Why Win2000/VPC won't recognize the modem still has me stumped.
Here's some more to go with yesterday's V8. It's a paraphrase from the "Pride & Envy" segment of the oddball obscure old educational film Stop Driving Us Crazy!

.
There is a time for everything,
a season for every activity
under heaven. A time to be
born and a time to die. A
time to plant and a time to
harvest. A time to kill and
a time to heal. A time to
tear down and a time to
rebuild. A time to cry and
a time to laugh. A time to
grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones
and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a
time to turn away. A time to
search and a time to lose.
A time to keep and a time to
throw away. A time to tear
and a time to mend. A time
to be quiet and a time to
speak up. A time to love
and a time to hate. A time
for war and a time for peace.
May this be
your time to laugh,
embrace & receive
personal peace,
Dr. Howdy
