There are tons of cartoon and comics blogs by comics and cartoon professionals. Here's one by an electronic technician for the USPS.

TGIT

Thank God It's Thursday!

The Omaha Mensa used to have Thank God It's Thursday Parties" I miss those.

Actually it's Friday, my new day-off after being switched to nights. I trying to get psyched up to start some new drawings before I drive out to the RC field and see if anybody is flying this early in the year.

Some bonehead phoned in a bomb threat to the Post Office the other night. This isn't junior high any more! But this is much more serious trouble!

Here's a detail of some Tube Punk art in progress.

The other night, I dreamed that I adopted a stray tabby that looked like that. You ought to have seen the look on Dad's face when I showed it to him.

swing shift

I'm moving back to swing shift tonight. Hoping that days open up again sooner instead of later.

Reaffirming why I love my G5. I was tweaking some coloring on some pin-ups and kicked some of the 20% grays up to 30% grays and then back down to 25% grays in a matter of seconds of my time and only split seconds of the Mac doing the pixel crunching. Not to mention what I did to some other grays. My Previous Macs would take a few minutes. Plus if you had to do the grays by hand, I think they'd be considered good enough and left alone.

Here is a turbo engine and a Pinto. Because Pintos don't go fast ....

I should have had the insight to move the broom, floor jack, and engine hoist, and not muddle and confuse the composition of that one photo....

I just remembered I build that engine stand from my own design. So why do all the fanboys from Ames and Des Moines consider me to be untalented? Well, outside of one bad mouth and a lot of herd-mindedness and hypocrisy?

now comes milling time

It's a rainy day off so that I'm trying to finish some pin-ups, start some pin-ups and color some others, all for Tube Punk.

The good news is that I got a new toy, a Smithy 3-in-1, with lathe, mill, and drill press. The bad news is that this is going to have the steepest learning curve of any toy that I ever owned.

The USPS is screwing up my hours and moving me back to swing shift come this Saturday. My Mom asked me if I'm upset. I send no, but I'm annoyed to no end.

At least I'm not disgruntled...
